[MPlayer-users] fbset and kernel disagree

Isn't the second head the TV out device?  Maybe you should be running fbset 
fb1 instead, if your monitor is fb0.

Maybe the other 16MB is being used by the second head? (the TV?)

Try using the framebuffer device fb1 instead of fb0 and see if that makes a 
difference.
