[MPlayer-users] "Black & white" playback through bt878 s-video input

Ick. I am seeing the dreaded "black and white" bt878 tv playback.
This occurs only, at the moment, in s-video NTSC playback.

Kernel is up2date-d vanilla rh9 (still building out this box):

I am using an AGP Radeon AIW something-or-other with the ATI.2
X server and a Leadtek Winfast XP 2000 (I think).  My capture
device is the latter.  I am using the AIW just for the overlay,
at least for now.
