I know about stop_xscreensaver! I know how to read the docs. But I want to
totally disable screen saver in Re Hat 7.3, not just during mplayer
playback. The reason is that I am running mplayer in the background while
having another terminal open and active performing some other actions
(project requirement). So the screen saver is activated I guess because the
active window does not run mplayer thus not disabling the X screen saver. I
know that probably this shouldn't happen normally but that's how it is
unfortunately. So I thought that the solution would be to totally disable
the X screen saver. Understand now? So any suggestions?

Thanks, regards,

Kostas
