Hello! I have some trouble and I was hoping someone could help me...

I compiled and installed MPlayer in Slackware 9. I can play files... but I
get error messages.
The message is the same for different file types:

For example, when running:
# mplayer file.mp3

I get some alerting output:

parse error at line 1
parse error at line 2
Option J needs a parameter at line 4
parse error at line 5
parse error at line 7
parse error at line 9
parse error at line 13
Option @> needs a parameter at line 15

Option LH needs a parameter at line 23
Option |b needs a parameter at line 24
parse error at line 25
too many errors (10/5/2003, Version: 0.0.8d)

(along with the normal output)

After these lines, the file starts to play normally when running from a non
X environment. When running in KDE, MPlayer is killed.

Can anyone tell me how to get rid of these error messages?

//Patrik
