[MPlayer-users] image size problem with webcam capture

I get a decent (postcard) size image with "xawtv -n -c /dev/video0"
but "mplayer -tv on:device=/dev/video0:driver=v4l:width=640:height=480"
only produces a stamp size image.

What's the problem?
