I myself found the mistake I made. Mencoder did work with 'tga' file. For
input I had to use \*.tga instead of *.tga.

But I still can't figure out how I have to name those tga files to make
them properly ordered. I named it shot0.tga, shot1.tga, ... , shot9.tga,
shot10.tga, shot11.tga, ... , which only gave me WRONG ordering..
