That's correct.  Real media streaming uses a proprietary protocol (*not* 
RTP).  MPlayer, however, has some special-case code that will attempt to 
play Real media "rtsp://" URLs.

If the only "rtsp://" URLs that you will be playing are RealAudio and/or 
RealVideo streams, then you won't need the LIVE.COM code for 
this.  Instead, use the special-case code that's built into MPlayer.
