[MPlayer-users] mplayer and alsa 1.0.3 pcm-devices

Hi all!
I have mplayer 0.9.0 or something like it installed and I run alsa1.0.3. Now
mplayer has a few problems. I try to play a 22050 mp3-file to my soundcard
using a plug-device. The plug-device wraps a dshare device. My souncard is an
MAudio delta 1010lt. It should be able to cope with 22050 Hz. But mplayer
starts initialising. It ells me that it is going to use soundcard p1 (that's
the pcm-device name) and then it doesn't continue. I've also written a ctl
device for p1. So any idea, what's going wrong? Doesn't mplayer simply like my
soundcard or my device? Is there a specific way to tell mplayer to use the
alsaplugins? I type:
mplayer -ao alsa9:p1 22050.mp3
With 44100 it works. But ONLY with that. For other srates I have to use
alsa's default device, which uses my old simple soundcard.
Any help is appreciated. Please send a reply to my address: julien at c-lab.de
  Kindest regards
         Julien
