Hello,

Here is the instruction I use to rip dvd/encode avi files:

mencoder dvd://N -ovc lavc -lavcopts \
vcodec=mpeg4:mbd=2:vbitrate=xxxx:acodec=mp3|ac3 -vop \
eq=10:5,crop=xxx:xxx:xx:xx,scale -zoom -xy 640 -oac mp3lame -lameopts \
abr:br=128:mode=0:vol=7 -alang fr -o movie.avi

To encode video input I change dvd://N with tv:// and add
-tv driver=v4l:width=640:height=480 -vf crop=620:460,eq=10:5

Now the image is OK with the YAMADA DVX-6000 player and it surprise me that it
is the sound that does not play correctly. The player playd MP3 files without
problem. I expected more to have video problems.

I have (almost) no problem to read an old avi file I received from a friend 2
years ago (sound and video but can not scan the movie).

Now I read in the documentation:

VBR MP3 Audio
    Important
VBR MP3 audio does not always play nicely on windows player!

Any suggestion? I found only one firmware to update the player. If anybody
knows the player and its limitness?
