having just nuked macos9.2.2 in favour of debian unstable
im attempting to get dvds to run properly on my imac dv.

they were working perfectly in macos9.2.2.

now having compiled mplayer, i find that divx's and other
mpegs run better than ever! but alas dvds run really poorly

as a run down im using linux 2.4.25, i have a 450mhz powermac
with a dvdrom and 384 megs ram. im running alsa 1.0.4.

X4.3 is running nicely using the ati driver through the fbdev
and as previously mentioned other file formats run flawlessly
much better than they did in macos9.2.2

ive tried using mplayer with both dvd libraries.
mplayer is version 1.0pre3try2

im not subscribed to the list so be sure to cc to me

more details will be happily provided. im especially interested
in getting in contact with mac-linux-mplayer-dvd users out ther

theres nothing out of the ordinary running, just X and gnome.
im doing anything silly like compiling or running seti.
