[MPlayer-users] Ugly hardcoded subtitles

Hello!

I'm converting some DivX to SVCD, and I'm getting subtitles mixed with
the background, see the screenshot:

The subtitle should be white, but with blue background, it becomes blue,
with red background, it becomes red... It only looks fine over
black/white backgrounds.

I'm using the following command line:

mencoder -noautoexpand -ofps 25.0 'input.avi' -oac copy -ovc lavc
-lavcopts vcodec=mpeg2video:vbitrate=800 -o 'output.mpg'  -of mpeg 
-ffactor 2 -subpos 87 -subwidth 95 -subalign 1 -sub movie.srt -vf
scale=384:288,hqdn3d,pp=hb/vb/dr,expand=::::1 -ssf lgb=0.4 cgb=0.4

The problem persists with FreeType and/or without the -noautoexpand
expand stuff.
On mplayer, the subtitle looks fine (white with black borders).

Any idea?
