[MPlayer-users] libsmbclient error

Hello.
I have incurred into an error, after the last update of mplayer.
I'm using the debian sid pckg by marillat, mplayer-586
version 1:1.0-pre4cvs20040620-0.0

I searched the ml for info, but I could just find threads about
compiling mplayer with samba support, and that's not my case.
I'm not going to compile anything, I installed a package.

The error given is as follows:
mplayer: error while loading shared libraries: libsmbclient.so.0:
cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

but the file is there, and it's a symbolic link to libsmbclient.so.0.1
How am I supposed to fix this?
