[MPlayer-users] piping in non-video info

Hi,
I haven't got a response to my questions about bzip2 so I guess no one 
is interested in that functionality. I was wondering if there was any 
way to pipe in a subtitle like you can with video eg:
cat *.vob | mplayer -
so I could do something like
tar xjvf subs.tar.bz | (probably-somecommand-here) mplayer -vobsub 
something myavi.avi
Or whether it would require a script to decompress and then optionally 
delete the files afterwards.
