[MPlayer-users] encode to dvd useing nicos patch produce null size mpeg file!

I updated to the latest cvs source of mplayer and libavcodec.
aplyed mutex2.diff
I then entered main and run make clean, ./configure, and last make

Do I need to install?
Ain't it good enuf if i point my shell to mencoder?
~/cvsmplayer/main/mencoder -options ?
