[MPlayer-users] noise reduction

Hi
 i am doing VCDs with mencoder(i am converting Manga movies"cartoon" to 
see in my dvd player) and i am
  using this command line
%mencoder -noskiplimit -mc 0 -srate 44100 -ovc lavc -oac lavc -lavcopts
 acodec=mp2:vcodec=mpeg1video:vbitrate=1152:vrc_maxrate=1152
 :vrc_minrate=1152:vrc_buf_size=327:vhq:aspect=4/3 -o manga.mpg -ofps 
30000/1001 -of mpeg -vf harddup,scale=352:240 manga.avi
this command line works without problem but when the resulting quality 
of the video it's not good
on dark scenes "this scenes are noisely pixelated i saw squares every 
where "
Which  are the options to denoise my files and get smooth images?
