Obviously with my approach options would have to be allowed to be 
specified several times with the most recent being the one that's used. 
That way you could for example do this

foo.avi
///// dvd-device=/mnt/reki/fightclub aid=129
dvd://1
dvd://2
dvd://3
dvd://4
///// dvd-device=/mnt/reki/hero slang=en
dvd://1
Radiohead - Creep.mpeg

...to easily include the main title and several extras of a dvd.
