[MPlayer-users] unsupported format?

It did help, thank you for the tip. 

Is there any work in mplayer in relation to 
this kind of problem? i.e. if there is more than one codec 
available for a given format, make mplayer choose automatically 
the one more likely to decode successfully? Or is ffmpeg already
the preferred one for another reason?
