[MPlayer-users] Problems with xvidix:mach64_vid.so

Greetings,

I am experiencing strange problems with XVIDIX on an ATI Mach64 CT card.
Running mplayer as root like this:

sudo mplayer -vo xvidix MOVIEFILE

it detects the card without problems (mach64 driver takes over),
but then it says:

libdha: DHA KernelHelper failed: No such file or directory.

The docs say the kernel helper is only needed if one wants
to use DHA without being root - but I am!
I can't compile the svgalib-helper either, so I'm stuck now.

Any hints?
