I'm very surprised mplayerhq.hu linked to libcaca's site 
(http://sam.zoy.org/projects/libcaca/) when its creator has this to say on 
the very front page:

Zeeshan Ali wrote a GStreamer plugin. I am not aware of an MPlayer patch yet 
(but you should not be using MPlayer anyway, because it sucks).
