I just ripped a dvd video using mencoder -dvd-device /dev/scd1 -dvd 3 -o 
pilates.avi -oac copy -ovc divx4  I am trying to create a dvd now using 
dvdgen and it needs the file to be mpeg.  this is an avi format so I was 
wondering how can I do this, if at all with mplayer/mencoder.
