Hi mplayer-users and developers,

I would like to describe our problem as precisely as possible due to
the mplayer bug reporting faq:

The mplayer fails with video out on different vo drivers if we play a lecture avi
captured with the tscc codec from Techsmith.
The codec works fine with 800:600 video size but the new lecture
is captured with 1024:768 and maybe a different colorspace.
So this is the problem. Some players on windows also fails but
the original camtasia player can play it in windows.
I uploaded a 1MB sample on
http://mitglied.lycos.de/twometer/Download/tscc.avi

and an old working sample with 800:600 size to
http://mitglied.lycos.de/twometer/Download/tscc_working.avi

and here is my mplayer log cvs-snapshot from 20040214 debug=3 -v in the attachment.

Here is the error reporting part of the log:

Read DOCS/HTML/en/codecs.html!

Hopefully there is someone out there to solve the problem
or confirm this bug/problem and finds the reason.

I post this in the name of other users who want to play the lecture videos in high qualtiy
with the tscc codec. This will become in future more important because of the development
of elearning.

Thanx for a helping answer,
Thomas
