By the way, are you sure your system is working/setup properly? AMD64 
3000+ should run at 2000 MHz, not 800 your /proc/cpuinfo shows...

Of course, this might also be a problem:

I don't follow what goes around SuSE, but we all remember RedHat's "gcc" 
2.96, don't we?
