Is this from a DVD, with "mplayer dvd://1 -dumpstream"? Doing that works
fine for me, with CVS from a minute ago.... Perhaps there's an anomoly
somewhere else in your system? Maybe your video card drivers aren't
scaling in hardware properly? I would expect the behavior to be the same
for DVDs, in that case.

I really don't know, except to say that I'm not having any problem here.
