Why not?  I've automated cropping for months now, myself.

Which then takes several minutes for each video.  If anything is a good
candidate for automation, it's cropping...  Cropdetect does most of the
work already, and it's the only part of the encoding process that isn't
normally automated already.

What do you mean by "minimum dimentions"?
