Many recently authored DVDs have a subdirectory named /jacket_p which
contains several files with .mp2 file extensions. Here is a listing of
the files.

-r-xr-xr-x    1 root     root        55296 2003-05-06 12:09 j00___5l.mp2
-r-xr-xr-x    1 root     root        20480 2003-05-06 12:09 j00___5m.mp2
-r-xr-xr-x    1 root     root        10240 2003-05-06 12:09 j00___5s.mp2

These files are supposed to be still images of the DVD jacket art which
many newer DVD players use as a screensaver when the movie is stopped and
etc.

Running mplayer on these files doesn't work. It will recogize the files,
but no frames are decoded. Mplayer will instantly reach the end of the
file. I was hoping to do a capture of the images in these files by
running "mplayer *.mp2 -vo png".

Here is some of the information mplayer spits out.

==> Found video stream: 0
MPEG-PS file format detected.
MPEG Stream reached EOF
ds_fill_buffer: EOF reached (stream: audio)
MPEG: No audio stream found -> no sound.
Searching for sequence header... OK!

kbyte/s)
[V] filefmt:2  fourcc:0x10000002  size:720x480  fps:29.97  ftime:=0.0334

[irrelevant debug information snipped]

MPEG Stream reached EOF
ds_fill_buffer: EOF reached (stream: video)
EOF code: 1     0%  0%  0.0% 0 0 0%

Any ideas on how to view the jacket art?
