[MPlayer-users] mplayer playback complete crash/freeze

hello!

i want to play an avi file with latest (1.0pre5) release of mplayer.
the crash is so bad, i tried to run it under gdb as you described it in the 
docu, but that does not help. the system freezes completly!
so i really  don't know how to produce a core dump or a log file from the 
debugger....

what i have found out is that the module liba52 causes the problem.
it says:
[a52]: CRC check failed!

when i playback the file with option -nosound there is no problem to view the 
avi file... (but just view ... no sound :-((

i tried to get a log file from the output ....
(it is not complete because of the crash....)
