[MPlayer-users] how to get proper tv-out working with a matrox g450?

hi,

i've had enourmous trouble trying to get a matrox g450 to display video on
the tv-out and found it actually not to be supported. tv-out worked via
matroxfb on secondary head as /dev/fb1 but with ugly effects probably from
lack of proper buffering as well as no acceleration on fb1 (i got nasty
"cuts" in the middle of the picture, looked like the next frame was
overlapping..), so i found it to be unusable. i followed this guide:
http://www.bglug.ca/matrox_tvout/g450_tvout_howto.html

i read someone succeeded in coding a nice tv-out in directfb wich sadly is
not an option for me, since i need 4 different outputs from one machine,
wich works nicely using vga and -vo mga or xv / x11 but not with directfb.

researching that topic for a couple of days now, i also heard that there
might be a way to map the acellerated fb0 to the tv-out enabled connector of
the g450 just like one can do it with a g400, but i wasn't told how.
can anybody confirm that and maybe tell me how that is done?

thx + my regards,
/jc
