[MPlayer-users] mplayer reads dvd info but does not play anything

Please help!

I compiled mplayer on suse 9.1 from the latest source distribution. When
I run it, it obviously tries to read the dvd but does not display
anything nor shows any reaction after that. Below I have included its
output. This happens with any dvd I try to play.

One thing I noticed is the CPU detection. I have a Centrion 1.7 GHz CPU,
not the one mplayer thinks, but this is probably irrelevant.

Can oneone give me a hint what could be wrong?

Many thanks,

Wolfgang
