Actually no, pp=fd is a lot more like scaling. It also creates a
ghost. It's the most brain damaged of all the deinterlacers, and
coincidentally also the one recommended in the mpeg specs. :(

Not blur, ghost. Very different. (Ghost = blurring two pictures from
different times together.)
