[MPlayer-users] Predator DVD

Hi:

I have a strange problem - I have vobcopy'd & DeCSSed the Predator movie but 
neither mplayer nor mencoder can deal with it.

I can hand feed the VOBs to xine and it will play the movie from beginning to 
end.

When I try to view with mplayer;

mplayer dvd://1 -dvd-device /vob-dir <enter>

There is no sound and an error message that says too many packets in buffer. 

After a couple minutes it crashes with another complaint about too many 
packets.

I get the same set of errors when attempting to rip the movie using mencoder. 
It will produce a small avi file which is playable but no sound.

The strange thing is the VOBs play fine in xine - usually it's the other way 
around.

I apologize for not having an exact error listing but I have been working all 
night installing Slackware 10.0 and my workshop is offline at the moment.

This has occurred on 1.00pre4, 1.00pre3try2, and last Thursday's CVS snapshot.

Built with no additional codecs, lame & essential, lame & essential & win32 & 
xvid.
