[MPlayer-users] Dependencies

When I run gmake, I get the errors :
[font_load_ft.0]
[libvo/libvo.a]
[libMP3.a]
[mp3lib/libMP3.a]

I did google searches for these and got them to download, but I can't seem 
to install them. What directories do they go to? Should I use make or gmake? 
Is there a package I can add using pkg_add? A tutorial or FAQ with this info 
would be helpful.
