[MPlayer-users] Streaming "MS ASF video" / MLB.com

Greetings!

I discovered this morning that Major League Baseball has moved from
Realaudio streams to something called MS ASF video. The person I spoke
to on the phone kept mentioning "Windows Media Player", which obviously
leaves a Linux user out in the cold. At the time I thought, "no
problem, mplayer can handle that!". But when I click on the link, and
tell Firefox to use gmplayer to handle the file, gmplayer opens and
nothing else happens. Gmplayer's display shows "00 - meta, FILE 0:00:00
/ 0:00:00".

Does anyone have any advice on how to determine what gmplayer is doing,
or how to further debug the sitation? Do I need to give Firefox some
hint that the file coming is a stream?

Thanks!

Chris
