[MPlayer-users] A/V sync broken transcoding DVD

Hi all,
I have a problem when transcoding some (but not all) DVDs using
mencoder.
For some cases (reproducable per DVD), the A/V sync will be broken. It
appears to be related to different alternative video sequences in the
header of the movies.
When there are different title/opening credits scenes, mplayer will
play the DVD just fine, but mencoder will try to put them *all* in,
not just one.
The result are strange loops in the start of the movie and a broken
A/V sync for the rest of the movie.
Trying to select certain languages with -aid or using the -vid option
both didn't change the situation. For DVDs that don't have these
alternative video sequences, everything works perfectly.
Help appreciated,
Georg
