My understanding is that you only come to have such DRM'd files if:
1) you download from a drm-based music purchase site.
OR
2) you rip songs from cd with wmp, with drm turned on.
In either case, the files are meant to be playable only on the
computer they were originally intended for. So I don't see how you
would get a DRM-encumbered file without doing something stupid. It's
not like people trade DRM wma files on irc or p2p networks...
