[MPlayer-users] Playback problems

I have some strange playback problems here with mplayer (0.92 and 1.0pre3).
The playback stops about every 2-3 secs for a very short while and
continous to play. I tried the latest 2.4 and 2.6 kernels, with and without
preempt, acpi, mtrr and other stuff. DMA for the harddisk is enabled, also
the problem apears when playing from ramdisk. CPU is a Celeron with 400
Mhz, even when replaced for a PIII with 933 Mhz it doesn' help.
