[MPlayer-users] mp3 to mp3 (fwd)

hello,
	I have a bunch of mp3 files encoded at 32Kbps/44Khz. I want to
convert them to 16Kbps/22or44Khz. Is there any quick way to do it (pref.
in linux)? I tried sox but it's giving "The file is not an MP3 file or it
is corrupted" error.

how can i do this ?
