For what it's worth, the 'random' frame skipping seems to be getting
better, or maybe I'm imagining it.
Arguably huffyuv is only as lossless as the colourspace being
used. If you're converting from rgb32 to yv12 in the process of
outputting huffyuv, for example, then you're going to lose some chroma
fidelity. Also arguably, this loss is trivial, since the final compressed
movie is probably going to be decompressed to yv12 *anyway*.
