[MPlayer-users] mencoder problem

I have created a bunch of *.jpg files which I want to encode.

I issue the following command:

mencoder "mf://*.jpg" -mf w=640:h=512:fps=2  -ovc lavc -lavcopts
vcodec=msmpeg4v2 -o bkgrn.mpg 

and the program segmentation faults (see below).  I compiled mplayer on  Red Had
Enterprise 3.0.  I don't see what I have done wrong.
