| archives or the FAQ (in latest CVS or the website). And speaking of
| CVS, you should use 1.0pre3 or latest CVS, not the ancient 0.92...

Ah, of course.   It was right in front of me.  Sneaky.

I was running 1.0pre3 initially, but I had the same problem, so I
dropped to an earlier version hoping it was the "pre" part of it
causing problems.
