[MPlayer-users] Problems showing Microsoft ASF file

Hello!

I have installed essential-20040427 and win32codecs package and built
mplayer from CVS yesterday (May 18th), but it cannot handle the Cart video
stream from www.cart.com (Race Director, free trial, full year (19.95),
April 2004, Long Beach 2004). I have also made the start (2MB) of the
clip easier available in

The player only shows colourful boxes instead of the video stream and
displays

ProcessInputError  r:0x80004005=-2147467259 (keyframe: 1)

several times.

Getting the stream was a bit tricky but I finally managed to use

mplayer -dumpstream
'mms://gwmod32.streamos.com/wm32/8e/53/8e535fc04ca43e9af24b9274181bc815-4086cf11.asf?starttime=0:10:00.0&endtime2:30:00.0=&ts=1084833729&ttl=300&cs=FD2703196970AB4FDED2DEB1D4E2AE1AE5EB1837'

to download it (896MB). Unfortunately the URL seems to expire quite soon
so it has to be updated every now and then so this specific URL is no
longer valid. I guess I didn't do anything wrong at that step, did I?

Other persons I have asked have experienced the same problem. Any ideas?
Sorry, I haven't tested it on Windows either, but it should work there.
