[MPlayer-users] mencoder records no audio from tv source

I tried that as well.  It just does the same thing.. when I play it back again 
I hear a couple of loud popping sounds, I can see the video but no sound.  
Funny thing is , I can hear the audio while it is recording but on play back 
I get nothing.
