[MPlayer-users] EMU10K1 alsa and hwac3 issue

I had this working up until I updated my kernel and alsa. Now, when I play a DVD with
     Mplayer -ao alsa -ac hwac3
 it is "coppy"...my receiver goes in and out of DTS mode raplidly.
 
I am using:
-KT400 based MoBo
-Soundblaster Live 5.1 (emu10k1)
-2.4.22 Fedora Core 1
-alsa-lib-1.0.6
-alsa-driver-1.0.6a
-alsa-1.0.6
 
I would be happy to provide any additional information that would help.
