it crashes after having displayed 2 seconds of video, but maybe it's a 
problem with
my old version of libavcodec; does it play well for you with my patch 
applied to mplayer?

Unfortunately I can't do anything about the need to specify -fps, 
because mplayer still
needs to know the initial framerate, and I can't simply invent it.
