Not reeeeally if you only transmux from ogm to mkv (because you don't
add useful stuff to it, you don't take advantage of the things mkv has
but ogm doesn't). One advatange is that mkv has much less overhead
(which is probably not important if you're burning onto a DVD-R). One
advantage with mplayer is that "-alang ..." doesn't work with ogm but it
does work with mkv.
