[MPlayer-users] Five strange little purple pictures at top when playing avi or mpg

Hi everyone,

when playing an avi or mpg file I get five small pictures at the top of the 
screen, which look like there are also lines missing in between. MPlayer is 
running on AMD64 Athlon with Kernel 2.6.8.1 and gives the following output:
