[MPlayer-users] "Too many audio packets in the buffer:" error message

I tried to encode a vob file from my hard drive but was getting the
above "Too many audio packets in the buffer:". I tried going from the
dvd and closing all other apps. -- same problem.
I understand that this problem arises when the video encoding is way
slower than audio encoding. Isn't there some way we can slow the audio
stream to match the audio stream?

Here's my command:
mencoder dvd:// -aid 130 -noskip -skiplimit 0 -vf crop=720:352:0:64 -oac
copy -ovc lavc -lavcopts
vcodec=mpeg4:keyint=120:vpass=1:autoaspect:vbitrate=638:psnr:vmax_b_frames=1:mbd=2:v4mv:trell:cbp:mv0
-o Crouching\ Tiger\ Hidden\ Dragon.avi

I got the following output (anyone see anything noteworthy?):
MEncoder 1.0pre5-RPM-3.2.2 (C) 2000-2004 MPlayer Team

Too many audio packets in the buffer: (4096 in 8257536 bytes).
Maybe you are playing a non-interleaved stream/file or the codec failed?
For AVI files, try to force non-interleaved mode with the -ni option.
