[MPlayer-users] how to compile with out xfree?

Hi!
Im working on a proyect for development of an embedded
multimedia player platform. I'm using linux as SO and
luking for a player that as MPlayer supports RTCP. The
thing is I have limited space and prefer to use, for
example directfb to X. Do I still need to have X dev
files to compile MPlayer? I've tryed but configure
complains not finding X-dev files.
