[MPlayer-users] Unable to play streaming video?

Don't think so.
mplayer -dumpstream mms://rodan.implex.net/alliedvaughn/IMB/Aids/Intro_175.wmv
and then mplayer stream.dump works fine for me, despite giving the same
output. But playing directly seems not to work...
