mms in older versions always connects to port 1755, but in this case it 
should be 8080. See also http://bugzilla.mplayerhq.hu/show_bug.cgi?id=48.
Get a newer version (which in this case means CVS).

LIVE.COM isn't neccessary, I don't have it either.
