Hi,

you shouldn't use -nosound as others have told you because it's (it =
-nosound) is bad for mencoder's a/v sync. Use mkvmerge's -A parameter
for the AVI instead. It tells mkvmerge not to copy the audio track from
the following file. Example:

mkvmerge -o movie.mkv -A movie.avi sound.ogg
